One such world is our nearest neighbor, the moon. For years, scientists and engineers have been working tirelessly to design and build the first lunar colony. And finally, that dream is becoming a reality.

The lunar colony, called Artemis Base, is located on the south pole of the moon. This location was chosen for a number of reasons. Firstly, it receives almost continuous sunlight, which can be harnessed for energy. Secondly, the soil in this region is rich in water ice, which can be used for drinking, growing crops, and producing rocket fuel.
